Human teeth are made of several distinct parts, each with a specific function. The crown is the visible upper part of the tooth, usually shown in bright white or ivory tones against a colourful background. It is covered by enamel, the hardest substance in the human body, which protects the tooth from damage. Beneath the enamel lies the dentin, a yellowish layer that supports the tooth structure and transmits sensations. At the center is the pulp chamber, shown in red or pink, containing nerves and blood vessels. The root anchors the tooth into the jawbone and is covered by cementum, while the periodontal ligament connects the root to the surrounding bone. A colourful background (blue, green, or gradient shades) helps highlight each labeled part clearly for educational visuals.
